Why do I need a breathalyzer ?
We think it's very important you ask yourself this question.
Breathalyzers shouldn't be a substitute to your judgment and common sense. Breathalyzers can't tell if you are safe to drive and can only give you an estimate of your blood alcohol content (BAC). Some people can be too impaired to drive with a blood alcohol content as low as 0.03%. It's very important not to leave the final decision to drive based on a breathalyzer reading. You should make the sensible decision whether it is safe for you to drive. Personal breathalyzers should only be used to get a "second opinion" on your intoxication level. .
Different uses for personal breathalyzers:
- Prevent others from driving by showing them an actual number (%BAC) instead of your opinion of there intoxication level.
- Checking your kids when they come home after a night out.
- Checking your employees.
- Checking that there is no traces of alcohol in the morning
- Recreational uses
